Tony Tiemersma Wins Limited Late Model Feature at Sunset Speedway

Last weekend, the highlight of the Late Model feature was a wreck that caused heavy damage to both Gary Elliott and Mike Bentley after Elliott broke a transmission. This weekend, another big crash highlighted the race, however in a bigger way. As a result of it, the finish of the feature was under review for the three days. At the end of it, Tony Tiemersma was given the victory for his first of 2012.

LANE ZARDO SCORES FIRST SUPER STOCK FEATURE WIN OF SEASON AT SUNSET

Last weekend, defending Super Stock Champion Lane Zardo was bit by the bad luck bug as on lap two, contact from Dan Achibald forced Zardo into the outside wall. The result was his 2012 championship bid starting in a hole. Coming into this week, the goal was simple – start gaining points.

For best rivalery, the battle between Tom Walters and Dwayne Baker that happpened at Sunset Speedway is nominated. Sunset Speedway also gains a nod in the category for "Best Finish" with the OSCAAR Velocity 250 finish between Rob Clarke and Glenn Watson. Delaware Speedway is included in the votes under "best track" and lastly, Cambridge, Ontario native J.R. Fitzpatrick's late model is nominated under best appearing car.
